Steamboat Victoria on the Union Canal

As soon as we got out of the car to take a little walk along the Union Canal, near the Avon Aquaduct, it started to rain. At first we did not let that scare us off and were greeted warmly by the boat tourists on the steamboat Victoria, who also had a lot of fun - despite the rain. On such occasions, John often tells me some very interesting stories from his youth in this area.

"The Union Canal, full name the Edinburgh and Glasgow Union Canal is a canal in Scotland, running from Falkirk to Edinburgh, constructed to bring minerals, especially coal, to the capital.
