Trevor - a Mandarin Duck

at Burnaby Lake
The Mandarin duck, Aix galericulata, is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful birds. It is native to East Asia where it is typically migratory.
It is not clear where Trevor came from but someone may have released him into his current habitat in Vancouver where he was first sighted in 2018 at Burnaby Lake.

Je n'ai jamais vu une beauté pareille chez un canard - Ce "Mandarin" est vraime de toute
beauté, jamais je n'ai vu cet animal - un concentré de pratiquement toutes les couleurs !!!
De plus je le trouve magnifiquement pris en photo car l'on voit bien tous les détails....
C'est un animal de grande classe qu'il faut avoir vu une fois dans sa vie ::::: Merveilleuse Photto !!! Avec toutes mes félicitations et la présentation qui est magnifique ;
Bravo l'auteur et encore merci de nous avoir enrichi en nous montrant ce specimen rare

Mandarin Ducks are really glamourous. We have them here in Essen at the Badeney-See and also I have seen couples in the Gruga. But they are all have benn situated there by man.
