The Living Forest (579) : Blackcap
The blackcap is a small bird whose preferred habitat is mature deciduous woodland.
My shot shows a female with a striking reddish-brown cap (the cap of the male is black, hence its name).
This bird is extensively hunted in Mediterranean countries...!!!
Dutch name : Zwartkop
German name : Mönchsgrasmücke
Latin name : Sylvia atricapilla

Ein ausgezeichnetes Foto, die Augenhöhe macht es aus. Und nur auf diese Weise gab es wohl auch noch das Spiegelbild dazu. Prima.LG Ursula

A Top image.. And good capture, as blackcaps spend so much time in bushes and treesgiving glimpses of themselves, usually identified by call.
