We came by train form Beijing to Ulaan Baatar 1,500 km in 27 hours. 4 and a half hour stopover on the border for changing to 1,520 millimeter broad

Heading south from Ulaanbaatar, the Trans-Mongolian passes through grassy steppe on its way to the Gobi Desert. After passing through a hilly landscape, the train descends along a winding route and offers the chance to admire the beautiful panorama unfolding below.
