Sapphire dragon tree

The sapphire dragon tree is native to Taiwan, eastern China and Japan.

It’s a deciduous species and bears many large violet flowers in early spring.

The tree is indicated as critically endangered on the Red List as a result of habitat destruction in its native range.

Latin name : Paulownia kawakamii
