a surprise find as we walked along the waterfront in Copenhagen …
A replica of Michelangelo's David in the sculpture's original position, in front of the Palazzo della Signoria, Florence.There are many full-sized replicas of the statue around the world, this bronze cast of David stands in front of the Kongelige Afstøbningssamling, the Danish Royal Cast Collection at the Langelinie Promenade in Copenhagen.

I would have expected him to wear clothes in Denmark, because it is known to be a little colder in Scandinavia than in Florence.

Als erstes fiel mir der Farbkontrast auf - David in Grün vor dem Ziegelrot des Gebäudes. Bildaufbau und -schnitt sind gut überlegt und die kleinen Figuren im Fenster noch ein schönes Detail. Eine gelungene Aufnahme.
