The Triumph of Achilles
at the Achilleion in Crete
a probably often photographed painting by Franz von Matsch. Achilles is seen dragging Hector's lifeless body in front of the Gates of Troy.... part of a panoramic fresco on the upper level of the main hall and photographed at 1/20 of a second .....

A superb fresco full of drama and grandeur... Achilles very hauty and full of rage and vengeance for the death of his beloved Patroclos by Hector is dragging triumphally the dead body. Little later he will fall himself dead exposing his tendon to Paris's poisoned arrow...Nice and clear photo, Adele.best regards alexander

Unglaublich.

On s'y croirait!
