Interessiert mich wirklich.
I think the most "les Grand Chiens de Montagne" or the great Pyrenean Mountain dogs they owned in here first old Pedigrees a lot number of dogs with the name "Patou", the bitches with the name "Pastoure". Thats are historic "Gallo-Roman" names, meaning the Shepherd and the Shepherdess, are part of the breed´s ancestral heritage. - To the mountain breeder they denote more fittingly than any other names the breed´s unique supremacy for its age-old task. And so wherever Pyreneans are bred we find the names Patou and Pastoure often given in recognition of the link with the past.
