Splendid photo of these ancient ruins Adele.

You've presented them in a way that lets the viewer imagine their past splendor against today's decay.

This is another beautiful picture, Adele, of ruins of a later built Byzantine Orthodox church on the Classical ancient site only to signify its supremacy!.. and you very wisely left it in colour just to make more evident the characteristic Byzantine architectural style. You see, Byzantine empire was a continuation of Greek civilization,language, spirit and culture but NOT of religion!...

And all of this is about 2000 years old. Must have been an amazing place back then. Good shot showing the state of the ruins.

You don't always have to know everything
about the past.
Many of these ruins were probably brought
much later to this place.
The main thing is that it looks good.
