Dunescape

Almost every afternoon the fog will move in from the cool Atlantic Ocean, and slowly creep up and over the dunes, outside Swakopmund. Every day is different and the colours and the shapes always amaze me.

Tja, die Farben der Namib - ein ewiges Thema. Menschen empfinden sie unterschiedlich und so sind auch die Fotos verschieden.
Auf mich wirkt es sehr realistisch. Und hier passt die Weite auch mal ins Quadrat. Klasse.

Thank You / Vielen Dank Michael and Matthias, my favourite photographic subject are the dunes. They have so many beautiful curves and shapes and at the right time of day you can capture some incredible images. I am very lucky that my husband is a tour guide and can take me into the dunes very often. He is actually the one who showed me "how to look" at the dunes. When I first arrived in Namibia I came with a wide angle 10 -20mm lens which my Photography friends had told me was the ideal lens for photographing the dunes. It was a BIG mistake, and these days I only use a 70-300mm or a 100-400mm lens, my 10-20mm is great but I use it for creating other images.

Sieht auch toll aus. Du hast da ja Landschaften zur Verfügung, die hier Ihresgleichen suchen. Vielleicht den Horizont noch begradigen...!? Herzliche Grüße Michael
