Über mich
The record shows
I took the blows
and did it my way
...and these footprints in the sand
Maybe nothing grand
But if we leave a mark in somebody's heart,
What more can I say
Than "I was a king for a day" ...
I've always enjoyed photography and believe that as beautifully as the words of a poem convey the depth of our emotions, so do our photographs unveil our thoughts and reflect on our souls.
My first stint at photography started in 1972 with an Asahi Pentax SP500. In later years, I tried Nikon, then switched over to a Canon A-1 which I favored very much over other cameras. I remained with Canon products and my last pre-digital SLR was a Canon EOS Elan 7 and a host of lenses and zooms. Now I use a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, as well as a small wonder from Sony, the Cybershot. As for the SLR lenses, I have limited myself to the following:
- Canon 24-105 mm f 4.00
- Sigma 24-70 mm f 2.8
- Canon 70-00 f2.8 IS II
- Canon Extender 2x III
- Tokina 16-28 mm f 2.8 Aspheric Len
In the past 65 years I've been in this world, I have accomplished quite a bit, but also had my share of pains and sorrows. I have written and published two books ("The Larsky Gang" and "Mirage, Behold the Unseen") and have traveled the world, but I've also made numerous mistakes and missteps and I hope to learn from them someday soon--I guess the time is running out on me and so I'd better hurry!
Fotocommunity has been a great place for me to not only post my photos, but also to acquire beautiful friends and friendships across the globe, from whom I have learned plenty of valuable photographic techniques and ideas.
I welcome and sincerely appreciate your reviews and comments about my works and my profile, whether in English or in your own native language. Thank you for stopping by.
