In Chinatown (1)

Chinatown - a part of Vancouver from the turn of the century ... and this building one of the first .
I walked around last Saturday - bevor the masses of people come to see the parade and festivities next Sunday - so here are a few pictures.

They seem to live in their own little Chines world! The different sides of Vancouver are absolutely fascinating.

The Chinese people of Van surely do not travel home for the holiday season.
Just as well, so we can expect to see some
    parade pictures soon.
    Good luck.

what a beautiful old building! love how you captured it with a very faint "gleam of sunshine" caressing the green and red of the facade! and the thorny branches look great against the white sky – in fact, they match the event perfectly, reminding me of the jagged back-crest of a dragon! ; ))) hugs, sabine. p.s.: little rabbit 2 thanks you for inquiring about her health. she's fine, thank you. but still on "night schedule". feeding on what i lay out for her at the "bunny bar" in pitch dark (i sometimes see her white fur through the night!) and digging up my front yard, leaving tips of droppings in the holes… ; )))

Eine sehr schöne Detailaufnahme von einem der ersten Häuser, die chinesischen Drachen gefallen mir immer sehr gut :-)

Chinatowns seems to be everywhere in the world.
This nation seems to have an immense sense of identity.
