the way it is is the way it was!! what a great authentic civil-war look to this picture! union soldiers (boy, i hope i am right here! ; ))) in authentic uniforms wearing authentic period looks on their faces ; ), and at one with their horses, horses as patient and as clueless as their 19th century counterparts… love the rhythm and uniformity of both the riders and their horses, and how they are all "in sync" with each other. my favorite detail: the "synchronized look" of the soldier/horse couple in front – one facial expression the spitting image of the other! ; )) greetings, sabine.
