A labour of love!
The staff at the National Trust property Cotehele in Cornwall are constructing the annual Christmas flower garland all this week. All the flowers and greenery are grown on the estate, dried out, sorted and then assembled by a team of people in time for the Christmas festivities. I was able to climb up on the scaffolding and put some pink flowers in today!! I was so pleased as I never had the opportunity before!

…and there's quite a lot of pink in it this year, isn't it, sally? would have suspected you having a hand in it, even without you telling us! ; )) it's beautiful!! a flower python curling its way around the inside of the building and cheering up the rather serious but picturesque looking armory on the white walls… great capture, sally! and besides, it's such a nice tradition! over here we're so used pine tree decorations that a colorful flower garland makes a great change! hugs, sabine.Jürg Scherrer 23. Oh, this is just splendid, Sally - what a lot of work has gone into this beautiful garland, and how special that you were able to add your own favourite pink blossoms. A fine capture from this angle showing the surroundings and man at work well.big hug, Adele

Wonderful looks this beautiful impressing garland!!!
I was fascinated from the work of a lot of womens in the cathedrals - they decorated the churches with a crowd of summerflowers (we spent our holidays in august there...)
I can understand your feelings, dear Sally, when you put in theflowers...
