Winter hike on the heathland (6)
On a cold frosty day with plenty of sunshine, it’s ideal to make a winter hike on the ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’, even without snow.
The ‘Kalmthoutse Heide’ is one of the greatest National Parks of Belgium with many fens, heathland, inland dunes and vast forests.
The withered yellowed grasses and the tree belt in the background of this scene reminds me a bit on the African savannah.
Or am I exaggerating too much now……. ?

A beautiful panorama - and indeed looking somewhat "out of Africa" - it is the lower trees in the background paired with the dry yellow grass and swampy area in the FG that must do it .... so fine this light, colours and mood !!!greetings, Adele

This is indeed a bit like the African savannah, if the trees were just a little curves..:-)regards, Vera

African savannah in Belgium?Except for the water it could easily be there.
(I know, because I've lived in Africa,
sorry, but not in your country).
Cheers - A.
