My hometown - Karsiyaka -Izmir - Türkiye
The pelicans come here to spend their winter every year. The fishermen and all townsmen treat them good like valued guests..Now they are almost like pets, come close , walk with us, even sometimes sit on our lap :-)

now who would have thought that even the fishermen warmed up to them? that's great!! it ensures their survival! what an advantage for a fish eater to be able to call a fisherman his friend! ; )) love, how you captured the little congregation of big mouths ; ) in the gentle winter sun! nice, how they match the cream houses in the back, and so cute, how the man in his boat is putting his close in order for your shot! ; ) hugs, sabine.

I just love pelicans, Canan .... what a treat it would be to see them here, but in the meantime I am enjoying your beautiful image with this big group of birds and the fisherman interacting and your cityscape backdrop and all that wonderful light !!!
