The wolf's gaze locks onto something in the distance... could it be food? The rest of the pack? Or maybe just the beautiful expanse of the forest locked in a snowy embrace, the sun at the horizon holding the promise of spring... in time. A thought-provoking photo that makes one wonder just what the majestic wolf is thinking of at this moment.

(One possible thought: "How did I get stuck with all these cats? I should be in Hunde-Canidae (6356), before that tiger makes good on his threat next time I howl!")

Ein wunderbares Zeugnis eurer Begegnung an einem der wenigen Schneetage im Solling in diesem "Winter" - ich bin fast ein bißchen "neidisch"! ;-)

gibt's jetzt schon Wölfe....
