we walked away from the center of this vibrant city, but found only two sights of neglect like this one …. we found the cleanliness, friendliness of the people and beautifully restored architecture impressive … I would go back any time to see more !!!
I have shown 20 images out of 67 (this is my last) hoping you get somewhat of an idea what Lima looks like (to me) ..

Stunning shot, Adele, with eye-catching motif, colors, textures, and play of light between foreground and courtyard. Truly, both versions are worth viewing and commenting. I like the starkness of the B/W as well, and I think you have it right about the desolate, even foreboding look.Your South American work makes me realize I've been remiss in not crossing the equator...yet!
