Wanted to get a picture of the crowds gathering at the Trevi fountain. It was absolutely heaving. I am surprised there was no one in the water as it was so hot!

Do you know that one or two years ago, a young man put red colour in and the whole water became red !!!

oh my goodness, it is!! but the pale turquoise water of trevi fountain looks just so very alluring! i'm beginning to understand now just why anita ekberg needed to go for a swim in it! ; )) and maybe that's why nobody else dare put his big toe in – can't just beat her magical looks and charisma! ; )) a great impression of rome in the summer, sally! hugs, sabine.

Wow - this is an impressive crowd, and you captured all these people and their surroundings well. On my honeymoon over 40 years ago we were the only people there throwing in our coins!!
