hallo arin,
super bild, die farben kommen absolut realistisch rüber und die palmen weisen dem betrachter quasi den weg zum hauptobjekt des bildes!

Habe mir Deine Rotorua-Reihe mal angesehen. Das sind viele Erinnerungen, die auch ich teile. Eine Traumlandschaft, die Du klasse zeigst. Wie Tom schon schreibt fehlt oft etwas Kontrast. Vielleicht hilft die Funktion "Tiefen/Lichter" in PS, wenn Du sie dosiert anwendest. Damit kannst Du ein Absaufen verhindern. Danke für Deine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit meinen Bildern.

"The reason for the blue colour (and high visual clarity) of the Waihou River and its spring source is the high optical purity of the water. Pure water is intrinsically blue in hue because it absorbs red light leaving only blue and (some) green light to be transmitted to the observer's eye. Pure natural waters are blue to blue-green in colour because they lack light absorbing constituents. They also tend to be very clear because they lack light absorbing particles. Both particles and light-absorbing matter are efficiently removed during the long residence time of spring water while in aquifers."

@ Ragnar: Ja ich kann's mir auch nicht vorstellen, Deutschland versinkt im Schnee und wir zerfliessen vor Hitze! Das Photo zeigt die Blaue Quelle, die ihren Namen offensichtlich von der aussergewoehnlichen Farbe hat. Warum das Wasser so blau aus der erde kommt muesste ich mal googlen - ist aber eine interessante Frage...melde mich spaeter zurueck!

@Tom: I thought you liked to composition before? Just not the light etc... it is actually possible to change perspective at that place, but what are you hoping to gain by moving to the right? And what curves would you like to adjust - there are so many and I hardly know what I'm doing on Photoshop. Contrast is tricky cos when I increase the contrast, the shadow behind the Spring will turn black and I wanted to avoid that. I guess another time of the day would bring a better aperture and more chances of working with a balanced contrast.

Composition is a slightly better than on the previous picture, but i would like to see another shot slightly moved to the rigtht. And i would like to try adjust the curves a little bit in photoshop. Maybe contrast as well.

Was für ein Farbenspiel..., eine traumhafte Landschaft, die Du hier eingefangen hast. Auch hier gefällt mich der Schnitt sehr gut!
