A Walk in the Rain Forest

a 5km walk in constant rain took us to the Skookumchuck Narrows, and another 5km walk back to Egmont.
I got some rain on my lens, so the attached view of the jungle-like forest will stay as part of my private images:

Gespenstisch sieht dieser Wald aus. Es scheint als hätten sich die Nadelholzzweige farblich und in der Form den Farnen angepasst.

    Hello Adele,
Your wonderful image, to which I congratulate, has prompted me read:
    > This park was established in 1957. Skookumchuck Narrows Provincial Park provides trails and viewing areas for visitors who wish to experience the awesome power of incredibly turbulent tidal rapids. On a 3 metre tide, 200 billion gallons of water flow through the narrows connecting Sechelt and Jervis Inlet.
The difference in water levels between one side of the rapids and the other sometimes exceeds 2 metres in height. Current speeds can exceed 30km/hr.
The rapids are famous for their spectacular whirlpools and whitewater <
Actually seems to be a nice place.
    Cordial greetings
    Othmar

I visited a rain forest close to Tofino some years ago and it's a great souvenir. C'était comme se promener dans un livre de contes fantastiques. Un grand merci, Adele, de nous ramener dans cet univers unique de légendes.
(I'm leaving now for a trip of some days). Bises.
