Thornton Abbey
The ornate fortified gatehouse (seen in the far distance] of Thornton Abbey is among the finest in Britain. There are remains of monastic buildings and an exhibition on the abbey’s history. Extensive restoration of the crumbling monastery and a new exterior staircase gives visitors easier access to the gatehouse and its haunting passageways and hidden alleys. The abbey offers a fantastic chance to experience history first-hand, and the grounds are a haven for wildlife and the ideal place to get away from it all.

That's a fine motif with an interesting description. I like the architecture of the abbey, which you captured very well. It sounds, as this is a place to visit more often. An abandoned place with sorounding wildlife must be a photographers paradise.Regards, Manuel

Beautiful light and skypart and very well chosen pov. The diagonale works very well with the ruins in the fg and the gathouse in the bg.GR.Manu
