The Fungi world (24) : Giant Funnel

An enormous fungus.
The one on the picture was at least up to 30cm. high !

Maybe its hugeness is not so clear noticeable in this shot because I had to take it from a non-optimum pov, as there was a deep brook between the fungus and me, but I can ensure you : it was a real giant.

Dutch name : Reuzendikhoed
German name : Riesen-Krempentrichterling
Latin name : Leucopaxillus giganteus

I don't think, here in Germany we have so many different fungi. At least not where I live.

Von dem Bild bin ich begeisert, Mark! Einmal dieser wunderschöne Pilz, den Du so hervorragend dargestellt hast, dass man die kleinsten Details erkennen kann. Und zum anderen die super Farben von Pilz und Hintergrund. Na, und zur Perspektive oder Schärfe brauche ich mich ja nicht mehr zu äußern - wie immer top.
