The Backwaters!
KERALA BACKWATERS
...are a chain of lagoons and lakes in the Malabar Coast from North to South in Kerala State, running parallel to the Arabian Sea.
The network includes large lakes linked by canals, man and natural made, fed by 38 rivers. These waterways are a labyrinth of 900Km. lenght.
Were formed by the action of waves and shore currents. Well know is the City of Allepey, harbour of the many houseboats available to rent with crew.
Today we start an excursion on the backwaters and will try to bring some images about life on the waterways.
