Ripe Poha
I am sure that you have been waiting with baited breath to see what this berry looks like when ripe, so I peeled half the 'lantern' off and held it up to get this shot.
Info about the poha is in my previous post. Incidentally, it was delicious.

Hello Thomas, I know this fruit as a Cape Goosberry, my late mum used to make jam (jelly) from it in Africa.Known as Cape Gooseberry, Peruvian Ground Cherry, Poha Berry
(Physalis peruviana) although indigenous to Central America, it grows wild in Africa and Australia.
