The crater
There is a road crossing the valley in all its length and leading to the top of the crater. From the surrounding heights one can have a panoramic view of it. You can even descend carefully to the bottom surface and study more closely the mineral content of it. From places there are gases coming out. The smell is very intense.
I purposely dimmed a bit the surrounding area in order to highlight better the crater)

Such craters are indeed strange places..... and the smells that eminate from the fissures..... eye watering to say the least.An excellent scene and expertly edited.
