My Everyday Leica......

My latest acquisition......
Model: 1945 "Kugellager" ball bearung shutter (non K stamped) Leica IIIC K to IIIFBD Conversion camera, with a 1936 Leitz F1.5 50mm Xenon lens and OKARO rangefinder enhancement filter
Camera: Sony CD500
Another one of my everyday user cameras is this very unique postwar issue (August/September 1945) Leica IIIC K of which maybe less than 200 were produced with a special ball bearing shutter (for use under extreme cold weather conditions) built and delivered especially for service with the US Army in Germany - this camera was later Leitz Factory modified
(ca. 1950/51) to a Leica IIIFBD (Black Dial) camera with Flash Sync.

This camera features a very early production 1936 "uncoated" f1.5 50mm Xenon lens, with original (Taylor & Hobson) lens formula
This is an amazing shooting lens, that produces very "dreamlike" images - I will add some samples taken with this camera here soon

*Please note the camera`s serial number has been censored for online security reasons*
