Meeting with the Maoists
During our trekking tour to Mustang and back to the starting point Jomsom we got in touch with the electioneering in Nepal. The nominees from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (National Democratic Party) came by an helicopter to shout out their election propaganda, the members of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) rode on horses from village to village to spread out their election promises.
The leader of this Maoist group spoke a perfect German language, a former student for political science in Munich.
The slide photo is scanned by a Nikon CoolScan 5000 ED from Kodachrome 50.
