Maya's Scottish cousin

A photo dedicated to Sabine's series of busy bees (see start photo: ).
Sabine is a fc friend who not only takes remarkable photos (see her profile and portfolio, please: s. sabine krause ), but also writes remarkable comments on our photos and she always does it with exquisite taste and excellent humour.

Her series of busy bees is lovely, introducing us into the world of these diligent and industrious insects. And since I had the opportunity to take a shot of their Scottish cousin, I wanted to post it here for her.

: ))))))))))))) aye, she's beautiful! and ungrudgingly i admit that your hovering scotswoman here has found herself an even more beautiful (and more orange! ; )) workplace to fly to every day! what a lovely bright and glowing orange indeed! for me it's a harbinger of late summer, maybe even mild and temperate indian summer – my favorite season! amazing, how you managed to focus on the incoming hoverfly still in full hovering flight!! i've tried that many, many times but never succeeded… great, too, how the poised horizontal pose of the insect's little body is mirrored in the stem of blossoms passing horizontally underneath it! ; ) greetings, sabine. p.s.: thank you so much for your kind dedication and words, dear susana! very much appreciated!!
