Like Ants
the climbers on this patch of old frozen snow ....
I took this shot Aug. 19th from the chairlift going up Whistler Mountain (2118m) - Whistler is about 120 km north of Vancouver and site of the 2010 Winter Olympics

Obviously I missed this wonderful shot, Adele, while on holidays. Definitely the angle shows simbolically and quite evidently the human insignificance against the vastness of nature!.. Great shot indeed!regards alexander

like stray scout ants ; ) invading the desert surface of some distant and as yet unexplored planet – very surreal looking, adele! wouldn't have recognized it as snow, hadn't you told us! at first sight i thought it was rock, some kind of rare mountain marble…; ) those "lines" in the snow that look like waves (thawing snow sliding gradually downhill?) – beautiful! and so are the giant rocks further above! terrific image! hugs, sabine.Markus 4 27.
