Tabriz (Persian: تبریز, Azerbaijani: تبریز ) is the fourth largest city in Iran and the capital of East Azerbaijan Province. Situated at an altitude of 1,350 meters at the junction of the Quri River and Aji River, it was the second largest city in Iran until the late 1960s, one of its former capitals and residence of the crown prince under the Qajar dynasty. The city has proven extremely influential in the country’s recent history. Tabriz is located in a valley to the north of the long ridge of the volcanic cone of Sahand, south of the Eynali mountain. The valley opens out into a plain that slopes down gently to the northern end of Lake Urmia, 60 km to the west./---interesting city. Just checking it out! Vincent
I'm still new at finding my way around this site but wanted to post a thankyou for you many comments to my Key West picture. We spent two weeks in Key Weeks one year ago and loved it, having a room over looking the yacht harbor....it was amazing and daily enjoyed watching the many yacht races from a distance and in the evenings down at the peer for the sunset and the many artists putting on shows. A fabulous place for a relaxing vacation.
That brings back memories - Das weckt Errinnerungen!
Last time I was in Key West was in 1972 - Das letzte Mal war ich 1972 in Key West.
A beautiful shot.
