Jonathan Livingston Seagull Scottish Version for Sabine
This Tarbert version of Jonathan Livingston Seagull reminded me of my friend Sabine (s. sabine krause
) and her love for those birds.
Some like them, some don't, but they are curious and lovely subjects for photographic intents...their flight free, their screems loud, their presence linked to both the seaside and rivers...
This was one of them I tried to capture in the harbour of Tarbert, last August.
Sabine, it's for you!
.... and for all who like them, too...
Big hug to all,
Susana

oh, thank you so much! i guess i have to read the book now – it's always escaped me… you captured a pretty big one here, susana. those are the ones i never get in focus, as they are a lot shyer than the jovial black-headed gull i usually stalk with my tiny camera! yes, gulls are a great emblem of both naughtiness and freedom! ; )) love how this one here is spreading its wings for a seemingly effortless lift-off! hugs, sabine. p.s.: i just checked my dictionary for names of seabirds and guess what i found – so funny –: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabine's_Gull
