L'abeille dans son écrin de tournesol, aussi têtue qu'un chercheur d'or : PARFAIT , Kathryn !!! C'est une réussite en matière de macro.
    Merci aussi,

@Tom, thanks, I realise what you mean. So maybe next time I'll get them in - not my legs though!
  • Tom McDade 6. Oktober 2006, 10:03

if your legs are good enough to photograph then go for it....I meant the B's legs. I know its tough but insect shots do look a little more sureal if they have their pictur taken from different angles i.e. head on, from low angles etc. Not taking anything from your pic as it is one that will always command a good stare.

don't have anything to add, except I was expecting a spider instead of a bee......
    greetz,

@Frank, where would you place the focus - I meant it to be on the bee?
@Robert, I see what you mean - I actually expected someone to complain about the hair/dust on the middle petal...
@Tom, do you mean my legs? The bee's legs were under her and I couldn't get that low;-)
@Pat, I have a couple of others I may upload when I'm back from my current travels.

Thanks again everyone for tips, critique and compliments.

Excellent image and all the points have been covered except you should try and shoot in .tiff or .raw if possible. Experimenting with shutter speeds could be interesting (motion blur on the wings but not the body). Cheers, Patrick

Excellent shot and well presented. If you get the opportunity again maybe get a little lower and get some legs in.

    GREAT SHOT ,,,,,
  • Robert Riley 5. Oktober 2006, 0:41

It is a great shot, full of colour and the bee is superb. I dont like the Copyright logo..... Joke!. What I mean is the C, Just to the Northeast on the petals, I would remove it, It is the first thing I see!
