we found a rather well preserved old homestead on Tumbo Island ... I took this image through the window ... so many of these small islands with remains of houses, sheds, orchards, cars, tractors - food for thought !!!

Ein beklemmendes Foto. Es erzählt von überhasteter Flucht, von Angst, von Aufbruch in die Ungewisssheit.
Ein Flüchtlingsschicksal vielleicht, wie es hier jetzt so häufig zu beklagen ist.
Ich wünsche den ehemaligen Bewohnern dieses Hause, dass sie eine neue Heimat gefunden haben !

In der Behausung scheint ein (Enten)Jäger gelebt zu haben, oder was lockt man mit "Decoys" an. Dann hängt da noch der Segler an der Wand. Den hätte ich als Trophäe mitgehen lassen. Wenn man sich auf so ein Gebäude einlässt, erzählt es einem so einige Geschichten.

Sehr lange ist das aber noch nicht so verlassen. Möglicherweise ist der Inhaber dieser Wohnung verstorben. Gut, das Du das fotografisch festgehalten hast, wenn auch nur durch's Fenster.

the privacy of a home… it once was! this is so strange!! they even left pictures on the walls, clothes in the closet!! an image that sends chills down my spine! they seem to have left on a hurry, leaving half of their belongings, THEIR LIFE, behind… sad and a little crime-scene creepy! hugs, sabine.
