at the "Small Italian Skylight Hall " in the amazing Winter Palace - now the Hermitage Museum
I was there with a busload of tourists ... for each photo I stayed behind and tried to capture the architecture without people ... no flash used :-)

We just don't know where to look ...to many things ..the architecture, these so nice chairs...the splendid vases and obviously , the great ''tableau'' de maîtres

Yes the old world has alot of treasures! Tracing back historylets us imagine how much the kings and lords pressed out of
their people in order to finance and build things like this.

i feel overwhelmed by all the cool (upper realms) and hot (red walls) splendor and watched by the resolute male angel (?) – arms akimbo! – from his elevated square in the ceiling! ; ) what a beautiful room indeed! despite its interior magnificence, it still radiates a strangely intimate warmth! beautifully captured once again, adele! and onec again i love the almost three-dimensional feel to it! hugs, sabine. p.s.: remember visiting a small art museum in russia once. we were the only visitors and went from room to room. whenever we enter one room, the light would suddenly come on and the gallery attendant on her chair in the corner would start from her sleep – so funny!alberto16-menuder 25.
