The Passing of Tradition
He's been here all his life. He started when he was just a boy, then through manhood, at time when he was strong for many years. Now, he continues and still comes down from the Himalayas to be the Shaman has become. HIs faith still lives., but the heat has taken his tole, as he stumbles and forgets a step ,but only after completing the ceremony of Janai Purima which is the passage of a boy into manhood. HIs role to to guide, and for decades he has. HIs grandson a Shaman in the making stands by to take the drum and continue the heart beat between family and faith.
Isn't that the way of father and son, and mother and daughter. The love continues, the bod between the two as the drum passes hands.
