White Saddle is an astonishing dog-bone-shaped fungus with a pleasant aroma that likes to grow in damp deciduous forests.
Some of you might think this fungus is deformed or in the very last stage of its life.
Not so. What you see here is the normal mature stage of the White Saddle.
Dutch name : Witte Kluifzwam
German name : Herbstlorchel
Latin name : Helvella crispa

Das ist ja ein interessanter Pilz. Gehört der auch zu den Hutpilzen oder ist es eine andere Form des Fruchtkörpers? Ich kenne diese erstaunliche Art jedenfalls nicht.Gruß Tina
