@ Monica:

I usually use to lamps - one with a halogen-bulb [strong light - and main light] and - often - not always a second lamp with a normal bulb to avoid strong shadows caused by the main- light.
The main-light comes here from a lower place slightly behind the flower.
The (digital-)camera hast to be changed to whitebalance: bulb-light.
Behind the flower is a black background. The room where I take those photos has be to totally dark. The light for the Photos must only shine on the flower - not - for example - on the black background.
You need a tripod to !
