Nonthaburi pier stage

Arrive to Nonthaburi pier station on the other side of the River.

Nonthaburi is situated in a fertile basin on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, where simple buildings, many fruit and flower plantations are interspersed with a number of Historical temples.
The town is only 20 km from Bangkok and is conveniently accessible by road or with a ferry boat across the river.

When driving through the Klongs we encounter a wide variety of house types. From the stilt house, often built over the Klong, to the pompous villa, which also make the social differences clear.

    Das alte Thailand lebt hier noch. Eine Tour zu diesen Klongs kann man jedem nur empfehlen, vor allem jedem Fotografen.  Besonders lohnend ist es das Gewirr der Gassen zwischen diesen Häusern zu Fuß zu erkunden.

      Punt fünf Uhr nachmittags startet ein lokaler Linienverkehr eines Longtail-Boots am Erawan Pier in der Nähe von Wat Phra Kaeo und bringt die Arbeiter zurück zu ihr Zuhause. Die Fahrt ist grandios und man meint, die Boote fahren durch die Wohnzimmer der betroffenen Behausung an den Klongs. Eine Rückfahrt geht dann mit einem Taxi von Crabs oder Bolt.
