Dodo and his mother
My last photo in this series shows again an orangutan mother and her son called Dodo.
During the first months of life, a newborn clings to the mother's abdomen and until the age of two, it is carried to the mother's body during the forays, fed by her, and sleeps with her mother in the same nest.
Only in the age of two to five years, the young animal begins to develop his climbing skills, it begins to explore its surroundings, but without losing visual contact with the mother. Only at the age of 3.5 to 4 years, it is weaned to self-employment.
