Rotterdam #1 Cube Houses

last week I had to visit Rotterdam for organizational matters. because I haven't been there before I took a short view of the city with its modern architecture. These famous "Cubus Houses" are really a challenge for every photographer.
In total there are 38 of them each with about 100 m2 ...

I've heard of these...... in fact there was an attempt here in Toronto to do something similar and got built too, but Canadians didn't take to this and it was a failure. The house is still standing all by itself next to a superhighway, unoccupied.

terrific composition making this modern architecture look even more unusual ... excellent too your editing work and I can imagine that the houses were exciting to photograph !!!

what showy, extravagant architecture! almost a little over the top, if you ask me! just imagine to be living in one of those apartments… and your editing stressing the extravaganza is quite a statement! the way they loom out of the gray-blue sky in this uncompromising light – unforgettable in an imposing, almost a little threatening way! something dali would cook up in his mind and paint maybe… ; ) greetings, sabine.
