Originally a movie director, »saša« is also fascinated by the possibilities of the single frame picture. During his studies, he also spent a few terms with photographic technique and image composition.

The first exhibition of his work was staged in 2008 at the gallery »Camera Obscura« in Dortmund. He was chosen to fill one of four slots of young, upcoming photographers, being the only one who didn’t actually study photography full-time.

Afterwards he focused exclusively on directing and producing movies, resulting in two feature-length films and several shorts.

In 2012 he got back to photographic work while his films were going through the post-production process. As he really grew fond of taking photos saša decided to spend even more time shooting still-frames in the future.

His extensive work since then is a consequence of that decision. It reflects his desire to tell stories and express feelings through photography. He never uses photoshop to fix things or for beauty enhancements or retouch. Adjusting only what could also be adjusted during the development process of analog film.
