Hello. My name is Alexander Baldwin. I am 18 years of age at the time of typing. My favourite hobby is photography and my favourite subject is landscapes, such as hills and trees. I am new to photography and so far have only managed to capture two spectacular photos, which you will see in my profile. One of the photos, Ogden Clough, has featured in a local newspaper after I emailed it to them, which I am very proud of

Hi there Alexander, welcome to the fotocommunity! :-)The idea of fotocommunity is to give beginners, amateurs and professionals a place to share their passion for photography.
You can view and comment the work of others, you can upload your own work to share it and get comments from other people around the world, and you can discuss or ask about anything you might want to know about our common interests.
One of the admins, Dirk Hofmann, wrote a tutorial for new members, and I recommend you take a look at it. It helped me a lot when I joined:
