When Vancouver was Young (3)
The Carnegie Library at Hastings and Main Streets - ca. 1903 .... a photo of an old photo taken through a window of the downtown public library - I liked the modern white car blending in almost imperceptively ...... this is still a functioning library today - situated in a very rough neighbourhood of Vancouver ... was nervous to take s shot outside (but will), took a couple of pictures inside though.
My tiny Chihuahua puppy did not make it into the gallery by a couple of votes, but thank you everyone for voting, and thank you for the proposal, Domenico Cosenza

Relatively traffic free streets apart from the odd tram, bike and cart! Nothing like today's standards! I wonder what the chap on the bike thought about having his picture taken, he would never have known that loads of people would be looking at him on the internet many years later!!! It blows the mind somewhat!!Hugs

i like, how the brain needs to untangle this one first, separating the the past from the present and vice versa. when it's done, the modern car materializes before our eyes, and one can still switch back into the past, too, looking the cyclist in the eye, who happens to be cycling towards both the historical photographer's camera and your contemporary one – which of course he doesn't know yet! ; ) hugs, sabine.
