On the mountains of Central Greece.( Aetoloakarnania).
Quite often, when driving on the remote and mountainous regions of Greece, is worth stopping and let your eye dwell in the far distance depth admiring the beauty of nature.
On one such occasion, I was surprised to see far away three villages in a row spread on the slope of the mountain... Usually such villages have frictions between them!

    such a picturesque mountainscape, and the villages almost blending in ... one imagines old traditions here and families intermarrying - a very different life from what we are used to !!!

    The landscape is so vast and rocky that the villages are almost invisible. A very dramatic scene, it really does make you wonder how on earth they survive, but they obviously do.
