mr. mohsen moghaddam was the younger brother of mr. hassan moghaddam, who came into the qajar mansion from his father, but died early and so mr. mohsen moghaddam was the new owner. he made his studies in painting, art history and archaeology in france, married to a french, selma, studied art and archaeology!! back to IR in 1936, he working at tehran university as the first educated professor in archaeology in IR and she as the director of the library of IR archaeology museum, and they had no children, and so he dedicated 1972 his home with all its collections to the tehran university!! he died in 1987 and she in 1990, when the mansion was taken over by the university and opened as a museum first phase in 2004. the mansion is in a top situation as it has been all the time inhabited and the moghaddams had been busy all their live by embellishing and taking care for the 2.117 sm large property!!!

the museum is situated in emam khomeini street, surrounded by an awful traffic near to tehran bazar, but such a paradise with its beautiful garden!!!
