Stardust: Monsters and Maidens

Late Summer of 2012.

At first, this was a very clear night. Those clouds gathered while I was on the way to a point about 15 Minutes away from our town, where light pollution usually is not quite so bad.

I only recognized the quality of the shot when I was cleaning up my pictures of 2012 now in January 2013, so I decided to edit it and see what I could make of it. I like how it came out, especially the Pleiades an taurus, which is the zodiac sign of my birth.

So with some help from my girl Tanja and some astro-software, we decided to name and outline the stars.

In case you wonder: Milky way is crossing through auriga pretty straight vertically, though we did not mark that.
