September 2011, Armagh, Nothern Ireland

Situated directly across from the RC Cathedral gates, the developer who not only owns this building but also owns “Kearney’s Filling Station” plans to knock this building down to build a massive 2500sqf SUPERMARKET, OFF-LICENCE, FLATS, ATM-MACHINE and build further SHOPS and OFFICES on the site behind and to the side of this building, not forgetting extending the filling station further has apparently let this building fall into disrepair or as it is also known presumably undertake a “creeping demolition” by removing the slates in 2007 and letting the rain, frost and snow slowly demolish the substance of the building. This fine period Armagh building was built BEFORE the RC Cathedral and is situated in the Armagh Conservation Area and connected to a listed building.

NOBODY SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO DO THIS TO A BUILDING, NOBODY !
