Paraglider Begins Take-Off Run
It takes abundant faith in one's equipment and knowledge of thermals and such...
to take a flying leap off a perfectly good mountain tethered to a contraption such as this...
what with a multiplicity of pointy church steeples, prickly winter trees,
and a very chilly river called the Neckar way below.
But that's exactly what this gent and many others were doing on this winter day
in February 2008 from the Königstuhl plateau, high above Heidelberg.
