On The Sea of Dune

On the giant sand dune, is a black Berber tent and appears if bobbing in the sand swells in harmony before the sunsets. Should the north wind blow and cause turmoil the face of peace will change and the Berber tent that appears as a little sail boat will be no more by the break of dawn in the Sahara.

Hi Glenn, Great Photograph, you know i love B&W Pic`s,
Like the lines and different shades of Grey! and the small Tent in the big Dunes show how small the Human Beings are!

almost idyllic and "cozy" looking and absolutely fascinating in its timelessness!! one of the few places in the world that man hasn't fully conquered yet and, hopefully, never will! but as ironic as it may sound, even the deserts are threatened by global warming and exploitation, as, other than the berbers, i guess, the majority of the world's population longs to conquer and own rather than to adapt… greetings, sabine.

The Sahara Berbers are not afraid of the strong desert wings. I remember one telling me that it is with those winds that the dead spirits communicate with them and put forward their complaints and demands...
    A miraculous picture!....
    best wishes alexander

Great Shot! I like the different "colors" of that pic. it shows that B&W Photograph's often says more than a hula lot
of Colors, who makes some pic's unrealistic. And I love the Deep of the Pic, maybe, cause I know the Desert too!
    anyway, a great Shot!!
    greets Hugo Bob Michel
